American Association for Justice, The Ten Worse Insurance Companies in America, July, 2008

Because we handle a substantial number of cases for plaintiffs, we often hear our clients say they feel they are not being treated fairly by either their insurance company, or an insurance company for which they have claims against.  The American Association for Justice has published “The Ten Worst Insurance Companies in America”. It provides an interesting incite for claimants.  The full publication is available at: Click here to read the full publication.

Recent Court Decisions

On July 25, 2008, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania reinstated workers' compensation benefits for our client who was injured following an assault by a co-employee off of the employer’s premises and technically after work. The Commonwealth Court correctly reversed the Appeal Board because our client was placed in a situation to be assaulted by his employer and the co-employee’s animosity arose from reasons relating to his employment.
